Our Founder and Owner is good ol' Tommy Thompson.

Tom has 35 years of experience in the heating and air conditioning business.  He started Thompson Heating and Air Conditioning Co. in 1980.  His wife, daughters, mother and sister have all at some time worked in some aspect of the company.

Tom has numerous certifications in the air conditioning and heating industry.  During his tour in the Navy he attended "A" (machinist mate) and "C" (air conditioning and refrigeration) schools, where he was awarded "Honorman" status.  Upon receiving an honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy, Tom  earned a degree in business and subsequently went into business for himself.  In High School, Tom excelled at metal shop and received the Industrial Arts Award upon graduation.

In the early 80's Tom was offered and accepted a position with a local defense contractor for field service in Europe.  Tom took his family to England and Belgium for 3 years and had a great time working for this defense contractor and enjoying the "European Experience".

Tom has always tried to achieve the highest workmanship standards and continues to do so in his business.

Tom is married and has two lovely daughters, Cyndee and Jennie, and also three grandchildren; Kyla, Kadyn and Jamie.  In his spare time he enjoys off-roading.

As well as giving the best possible service to our customers, we believe in giving back to the community.  One way of doing this is by sponsoring local youth sports.  In 2006 we were proud to be the sponsors of the T-Ball team that Justin and Jennie's son was on.  The T-Ball team, the Athletics, was part of the San Marcos Youth Baseball league.
